A late "Happy New Year" to you all.
I thought I'd show you some of my gear that I've picked up here in Japan.
Some suzuki/seabass plugs which weigh 18grms. Surface lures, 20cm diving depth and down to 3ft/4ft diving depth.

Some 2oz lures for my heavier lure rod.

The reel for my heavy lure rod.

Me with some fish caught on my 6ft ultra light spinning rod.
Casting weight 0.8~4 grams, 2~6lb line.
Unfortunately the first fish was foul hooked with a little spoon.
The carp were caught with free lined bread.

A bigger carp taken with my Greys Greyflex spinning rod and float fished bread.

Not very impressive I know but I thought I'd let you all have a look anyway!

Regards,
John.

Hi John,

Nice pics. The Shimano 8000 is a beauty! That one is going to land you many big fish. Do you have GT in your mind ?

Nice stuff Mate..

My favourite lure, the Yo-Zuri/Duel red white in the first pic. I have caught a load on that one. Funny thing is I have used copies of this lure and just did not get the same result. Even though to the naked eye the lure action was exact.

Thanks chaps!
When I catch something on my heavy lure rod and Twinpower 8000 I'll post some pics. I've also secretly bought an upgrade for the Greys rod (don't tell my lass). I've bought a Shimano Game AR-C spinning rod. It's the little brother of my heavy spinning rod. 9 1/2ft 8-20lb mono line casting weight 8-42grm. It's such a lovely rod, I can't wait to use it for UK seabass.
