hi there
i have seeen all of you using all differrent types of rods for different type of fishing style.................
i somewhat understand the difference................

but then i saw some ppl prefer small rods and some prefer large ones.
so whats the the best way of deciding which brand and which type of rod will be best suited and how they are different from each other..........
can i have details of rods for
1>bait casting
2>spinning
3>freshwater / saltwater fishing
4>light / medium tackle
etc

whats are the important deciding factors???????????
and how all these rods are different from each other..............

will be waiting for ur replies.....................
regards
hozefa.

Your question is so broad that it's almost impossible to answer.
Can you be a little more specific about the type and size of fish that you want to target and your prefered methods ? That way, someone might be able to offer a little help.

What you need is an encyclopedia of fishing. Most big book shops will have it.

Hi Hozefa
Can recommend a few books that have all the information you need.
The Fishing Handbook by Wayne Thomas
The Complete Book of Fishing by Trevor housby, Arthur Oglesby and John Wilson
The Practical Fishing Encyclopedia by Tony Miles, Martin Ford and Peter Gathercole
Hope it helps.

Sualeh

Hey,
Go to a tackle shop and check out the rods. Take the one which you think you can handle and don’t spend a lot of money rather look for a beginners rod and reel combo. Try casting with it get used to the feel I bet you will encounter a lots off issues till you land one. Most of us are self taught so keep on trying till you succeed. Only then you should consider investing into good gears.

Hi Hoze!
You need to meet up with some experienced angler and ask questions, visit tackle shops and do the same. Most tackle shop guys should have a fair deal of knowledge on the subject.
