Beautiful Pictures Dibu! And thanks for sharing. That jackal looks a bit lost! And the tent looks abandoned, or were they hiding?! My guess is it was autumn, say October/ November??Would the high water level make it more difficult to fish for Masheer ?Looks very nice though.
Best wishes on your photography.
Glenn

Great pics mate.

especially the dragonflies. What colours!! does anyone know of a good book about dragonflies. I get to see so many different types all along the shore of every water body but never seem to know which is which.

Fascinating little buggers.

Thanks again for the pics mate. don't stop send them.

Hi Owen.
fantastic photos! brilliantly captured on film , obviously another passion
of yours! would love to camp there , the jungles look real exciting , and is the river in full flood? we are in a drought here in australia, and our water
reserves in melbourne are at its lowest its ever been at 33%.
every thing is dry and brown here, its a feast for sore eyes,to see so much greenery! but you'll take it for granted and probibly don't even notice it!
hope it rains here soon!
cheers.
Peter./from downunder.

Thanks to Dibu for those pix.
Taken on a pretty ordinary digicam i am told.
The month was Nov the year 2006.
Yes the water was high and these pix came from the Bheemeshwari stretch, where you all know the fishing is better in high water. There were some nice fish caught on the trip, but no real mosnters.
The picture of the tent. Hehe! nice try Glenn, but that's the ragi tent where the ragi is cooked. For some reason it is placed on the opposite bank of the river to the actual JLR campsite, which makes it look deserted, but believe me it is the hub of activity at certain parts of the day.
The dragonflies have been sitting on my desktop ever since i received these pictures.
Regards
Owen
