Dudes, Have had the privilege to fish with Owen and his brother.. IT WAS AN EXPERIENCE !!! 8) 8)
However a word of warning: He takes his angling very seriously.. Don't fluff with him.. And listen to whatever he says...

P.S. Dont let the reel touch the ground.. Else you gonna have one giant-size footprint on your backside

Hi,

I got some great strikes on Lunker Lure, I think its awesome for Murrels. I think its better than spinners as its a single hook and you dont end up with so many snags.

Regards
Derek Dsouza

Here it is Owen, I got strikes for every third or fourth cast, other times the lure snagged with the weeds. I also tried this very late, I should have tried this in the Morning producing more fish, next time I know what to do.

Finally !!!!

I had a hard time getting down those pics from gavins mobile to laptop via blutooth.
Derek helped with online coaching .Thanks,mate.

You seen theirs.... Now you see mine....

First one hit me at around 04:30pm at headworks.. 2.5kg Mahseer

Image

Next at around 04:50 ....1 kg mahseer

Image

Owen, both these on the Okuma Stratus reel I showed you. Inaugurated !!
And I didn't use the cattle switch rod I showed U...but Dereks 10ft RedWolf. This fish could pull and almost bent the rod in half.
Landed in 10 mins.

What will I do when I hook that 70 lb'er when we do that monthend trip to the cauvery ??? :?

Substitute the rum for pure hard work, dedication and skill, and add a bucket of luck, this may bring you nearer to getting a big un. Don't go there with great expectations, just be prepared for it.

To get a white box, you need to hit the quote button on the message that you want to quote, and edit the message.
Alternately use a piece of white chalk on your monitor
Bloody hell! Do we have to teach these techie types all this and fishing too ??
