Hi,

I went to my log house and tried my luck at the pond today. The catcw was 58 tilapias and three common carps. Since we will be draining out the water from the pond, the catch and release practice was not applied. All went to the pot.

In the third picture the two common carp looks different. The colour of the fins are not the same. Why ? Does common carps have different types ?

Cheers,
Apoo

Hey Apoo,

You could tie the ends of that string and make a fish garland out of it

Hi Bobby,

I did make a garland with those fishes and put it on the elder kid. But I didnt take any snaps as the kid removed it immediately after I went to fetch my camera. Actually those tilapias were hurting him a lot as they were all alive at that time.

Cheers,
Apoo

Nice pics,

Reminds of my childhood when I used to fish for small trout in a private pond near my village. Used to catch tons of little Brown and Rainbow trout on worms and commercial trout feed.

The largest Tilapia I ever caught was a fish slightly above a pound that I caught on a no.3 Mepps while spinning for small mahseer in a lake.
