Coral trout caught on sardine bait at 30 meters with a silstar boat road and a very large weight in Cairns by David.

Hey Wolf,

What a beaut!! I've caught them the same size but colouration wise they weren't half as pretty...

Well, not really Rustam. Managed to snap this one shot after negotiating 24 fishermen off the side of a boat.

We were on a charter fishing boat so everything seemed to happen a little too fast. Fish reeled in, charter guy kills fish with screwdriver behind eye and fillets it in 5 seconds, fish in freezer, Japanese casting everywhere, negotiate way back to spot and keep jigging.

!

I am told you are a good mimic and have to hear about this in person. Promises to be a ruddy laugh.

Rustam

P.S.: Just out of interest, how many Japs were there on that boat?

There were about 15 of the fellows with some fancy fishing gear and fancier sunglasses hooking the boat anchor and each other regularly. Besides the Japanese there were a couple of Australians from the interior, 2 koreans, one overweight papua new guinean and two over enthusiastic goans who gave the Japs a run for their money when it came to hooking the boat anchor.
