Image Here`s a shot of a 33lb English river fish. Tackle: 15lb mainline, 45lb braided leader, 25lb platic coated braid hooklink. Thought some of you might be interested.
Image 22lb Common carp. Taken from the reeds over my left shoulder just 3 feet from the bank. Bait was Fishmeal boilie (paste ball mixed with eggs and boiled hard).
Image Small English Barbel (barbus barbus) These fish fight really hard.
Image My kit for a couple of nights fishing in england.

This is my fishing buddy, Whenever we go together I always seem to be the wrong side of the camera! He`s caught some lovely fish though.
These are from 2006 season.

The 3rd picture is of a Barbel (barbus barbus), All the others are various types of carp. Commons (fully scaled) and mirrors. These pics. show just how much genetic variation there is involved with fish scale patterns. Big Common carp are impressive and much sought after, but I prefer the big, Dark, plated mirrors. So much character in them.
