Hi everyone,

I went to Nameri reserve forest to celebrate my wife's b/day and enjoyed the trip very much.

We went in a group of 8 persons in two vehicles and except for me and my wife the trip to the camp was the first trip for the others. Everyone enjoyed a lot. We stayed for two nights. Since I had already seen the forest before, I sent the group for the jungle trek. I took two boatmans and a rubber raft looking for the famous golden masheer.

The water was muddy because of the rains and the boatman had told me that there would be no catches. Still I tried my luck. The catch was a dead rat :x :x .

I returned after a while and came to know that one angler had caught a 15kg golden masheer near the camp. His name is Mr. Nayan Sarma from Guwahati. I had asked him to join IA. I saw the pics and the vids of the catch at the camp. Asked the camp manager Mr Raj Bhattacharjee to send me a cd of those pics to my address. I will ask for the permission from Mr Nayan Sarma to post that pic.

Any way the whole trip was great.

Here are a few pics.

Hi Asif,

You dont have to carry a rod to Ghy. Why not plan for a few days. We can go to Nameri again. Atleast for three days.

Cheers,
Apoo

Hi Asif / Freedie / Gav,

Tanma (my missus) says thanks to you all. Next time when I go to Nameri, I will go along with a experienced angler like Mr. Nayan Sharma. I can learn a lot from them.

Cheers,
Apoo
