Nice fish riaz...

Hey doc, that's a nice idea..chloroform sounds good.. some more interesting additions to bongla masala can be; MDMA, LSD, GHB, Ketamine, Rohypnol, Methamphetamine, Alprozalam, Oxycontin

Guys - Another tip if you fishing for catla.... Try COREX Cough syrup with bread bait.. Some dude fishing at the Fort, caught a monster catla ( think it was around 45lbs ) and another smaller bugger about 18lbs ..

Definitely going to take a crack at this on Sunday

Gav,

Must all your baits have to include alchol in some form or the other?

You get the fish drunk so that they will eat any damn thing after that..

Tip for you fresh water boys..

Santosh,
The chloroform is for the poor fisherman-me -after the trials and tribulations of NOT hooking a fish...
Rohypnol? thought it was never available in India? well, I guess I'm not as fast of the blocks as I used to be!;)
Gav-Corex??Corex? next youi'll be telling us about Gelusisl antacid or something  Heard of 'doping' tests?
Whatever, great going Riaz, and congrats again.Keep on doin it.

By the way, I know how to cheat one of those. We were having a pissup in LKF, Hong Kong when the cops who were doing promotions on how NOT to drink and drive. Came by with these breathalysers mine was 9 or 11 compared to the rest of the guys who were into their late 80's and half past the 3 figure mark. We used to have some of those gadgets in the office and play around with them. Friday night is big here, so we used to mess about and see who was the most drunk on Sat morning if it was a work day.

Hi Riaz,
Nice fish mate. Don't stop with vanilla, strawberry and pistachio essence are also very good attractors. Use attractors in moderation as they leave a strong trail, and sometimes too much of it can cause confusion to the fish as the entire water in the area can get choked with the smell of the attractor, leading the fish in circles, but not to your bait.
Cheers
Owen

You know what happens when you drink besides getting drunk.

Candiru Fishing anyone?    Gav you should try it, its a nice little catfish and a freshwater one to boot, more scarier than the Goonch boys.

Is that true, he does not shower for a couple of weeks before a fishing trip?

The friendly fights & trading of compliments (or comments   ) between u guys would even shame Ekta Kapoor (with her brand of Serials of trials and tribulations between sisters, Moms, Mom/Pop In-laws, brothers and just everybody)

Couple of weeks ago, had gone to minchenbele lake with my friends, just out for a ride,

Saw some local fisherman casting their nets,& swearing at some 1

When enquired, said that this year the fisheries & the Lake dept did not release any fingerlings or hatchlings in the lake, and the stock was already depleted,
with anger in their eyes & closed fists, were cursing all the corrupt officials who “ate” all the money reserved for the fish release in the lake,

Had spent many hours observing the lake, very rarely could see some small splashes, compared to the previous years, and was really looking barren.

Think about the people who depend on the lake for their livelihood
