Cauvery Cowboy and self with 5 and 4 kg marals respectively. Compare these with the next image where a 5.5kg looks much bigger. All in the camera angle. Both pictures taken in Hyderabad at a lake.

Anthu Mally Mondol (ex-Bishop Cotton), a fishing buddy, with his 5.5kg channa marulius. What a large, heavy, mean-looking beast. The fish ain't bad either.

Hi Mystical M,

Those are some nice fish you have there! Pretty much the same size we've been pulling out here as well. Were they all caught on spinner?
Regards,
Mighty Marlin.

MM,

Actually no. We've been using some proprietary stuff I've been working on. As mentioned elsewhere, Mepps hooks have lost me more fish than I can remember. They're terrible. I use Matzuo Sickles.

Mm

Hi Mystic Maral,

The Matzuo Sickles are interesting looking hooks.... I'd had a look at their trebles ages ago and went for the Eagle Claws and Gamakatsus instead.

Interesting stuff.....

Mighty Marlin.
