Hi dear Friends,
Hope the Rainy season has allowed you to fish this season...and you guys are doing good..
this is about my Open Method Feeder...
After doing some research and reading posts of Anglers in the forum i have tried making my own feeder method.. as i am new to posting pics kindly excuse me if there are issues pertaining to size and pixel ratio..
things needed:
1.Iron Wire ( used in construction) available at hardware shop
2. Electric Wire ( carefully remove the copper from the wire)
Hardware ( pliers, wire cutter, small hammer to straighten the wire)
i have used 4 times the strength of a 25lbs mono line so that i wont lose my method.. you can attach a hair rig in the bottom which runs parallel to the method feeder.. i have after careful research understood that a single hook system works best that can be rigged with a boilie or 2 sweet corn with the tip of the hook slightly visible..
roughen the wire a bit on sandpaper. it holds the ground bait mixture very well..
I will paint the plastic of the wire black as blue color might scare away fish..
the need of making it was because there were no shops selling the same or the PVA bags either.. plus i found out that making it was 45 minutes job if u have the necessary hardware and items...
i tried this in a lake near mysore and hooked a small rohu..
the picture only depicts the method feeder.. you can add the swivel and the hook.. a smaller hook is best for hooking the catla/ rohu( tota machi) as they have small mouth.
please let me know what your suggestions are..
Regards,
Syed..
