Hi,

I went out to try my luck on the Brahmaputra and there was not a single catch.

Only a few pics on the river.

HI Apoo, Sad story... i too heard that fish in gauhati is 'imported' from other parts of India. Brahmaputra is surely one of the most awesome rivers I've seen in my life and its sad that the fishing has been depleted so badly.
Come down here in feb-there may still be some hope in the Bhakra canals :D
Best

Are these pics anywhere near the Governor's house?

Hi Asif,

The place where I sat was not near the Governor's house though it can be reached within 5 mins downstream. If we go by road to the spot from the Governor's house it takes about 1 hour but there will be a road (under construction and will be ready within two months) connecting the two places. I wouldnt say that there are no fishes as there were a few big fishes near us. But they were not at all attracted to our baits and hooks. I will go there again and try some different methods.

Thanks a lot for the offer. I will definitely try to go and fish with you.

Cheers,
Apoo

Looks great Apoo, but how do you find the fish in a river that size?

Maybe you need to spread those rods apart by a few Ks!
Perhaps you just need some kind-hearted folk to come and help you find them
