Some tips Mobeen,

Ground bait will not work on feeder if it is not as good as your hook bait. Make bread crumb the base of your feeder mix and experiment with different other edible ingredients. The rice powder or oil cake (Khali or Khall) are very good binding agent. It is always good to add some sweetener to your mix. Last but not the least, your feeder mix should produce lot of cloud of particles around it.

Any more information and my secret recipe will not remain secret anymore.

Hope this will help you in targeting your big Catla.

Dezz, if you wake up in the dead of night from a dreamless sleep, hearing your reel screaming and fight the fish half asleep, your expressions are bound to be as bad as mine..

Guess what?? We think there are some fish that carry ciguatera and most fish might be thinking Ali is suffering from insomnia :)

By the was I have got some feeder buckets and was wondering if they can be used for saltwater and what ground bait will work? Will it be as effective as the once used for fresh water fishes?

Kind regards.

DeZZ

Dry prawn (Jawla) and sand mix in a feeder bucket used in place of weight work very nice for some fishes, specially for sting ray..

I thought ciguatera was confined to some big reef fishes.. :!: :!:

Ali.

The question is How big is big? From what I read even the Shaari that I caught on Friday is also known to carry ciguatera. I only realized it today before posting :), it is even mentioned on fishbase. All I can say is say "BISMILLAH" and proceed :)

when ussing 2 hooks on same feeder, can have bigest problems.
1- one hook can stack in the roc or in another place and the fish on this moment break the line, and luss the fish.
2- when reeling for change the bait can hapening same problem and luss full rigs and feefer.
3- the mor big problem when go to landing if any time the fish rung near to the net the another hook can stack in the net and if this hapening out side of net never can put the fish inside and landing the fish.

Hi I remember to you wery well my friend I see you soon in Mumbai on June.

Best regads,
