After Amazon we went to Panama. We were to fish five days but we ran into some bad weather and fished only three. In the bargain we had two freaky experiences .once, when we were on the Hannibal banks, 80 miles from shore ,one of our outboard engines died and we had to limp back to land in total darkness . And the second time the propeller from one of the ouboards fell off in a raging storm and we had to battle huge waves and driving rain to get back.

All fish except the large tuna ( estimated 150lb) was caught on poppers and spinning gear . THe big tuna was caught on live bait ( binito) using a trolling set up. Jinu lost a huge tuna the cap saidclose to 250lbs at the boat when the leader popped while trying to gaff the fish.

I am happy that you survived two nasty incidents.

Once again well done and some fabulous fishes. The 250 lbs must have given a hell of a fight. Although it got away  , Jinu mus have enjoyed the fight .

Some photos are breathtaking. keep them coming and heartiest congratulations.

Regards,

Ali.

Ps. was the boa a wild one..

Ali,

That snake was somebody's pet. The big tuna ( 250) took all three of us fighting in turns to bring it to the boat.

Fantastic! Amazing! Is that a Rooster? I really love that fish.

Which fish do did you think was the most fun to hook onto, apart from the 250lb submarine?
