Bought a new Rapala Original Floater 2" lure (Perch color) and 8 lb braid. Took them for a test on Sunday (13th June 2010) morning. Test results were very positive.

Fish 3 (Larger Grouper) was taken home. Rest were released immediately after the photograph.

Also found my Strike Pro 7 cm lure which had snagged here around one and a half month back. It was stilll at the same place stuck between two rocks (tide was low so could walk at the spot which was then completely dry). The color coating is destroyed as can be seen in the photograph. Funny thing is that only the shanks of the hooks remained. Wonder where and how the rest of the hook went.

Looks like a very hardworking lure.

And the other one seems to be homing pigeon.

Nice fish there mate. Keep them coming.

Good one Sanju, happy for you. Missing hooks is due to corrosion (I think).

Regards,

Ali. :P

Thank you Mr. Ken, Fred and Alibhai. Fred, your backyard is my favourite place. Earlier to this I only did float fishing at this location with small hook with live worm on it. Fishes are small but variety of species is great. Sometimes the action is so good that the float would dissapear as soon as it touches water. So its drop, strike, fish at each one. Sometimes only 2 or 3 fishes but never fishless.

Nice catch Sanju. And good to know you got your old lure back. Refit the trebles and your lure is ready for some more action..

Definitely, it were his posts (and also Santosh) that triggered me to finally buy and organize my light tackle and to get going with them. Infact I had asked Santosh to select one of the available colors in that size lure and he chose the above. Spinning is fun.

Sir if you decide to go anytime before 2pm on Sunday, can I join? I would love to observe and learn.

The lure has lost its color coating. Still I will replace the trebles and keep in spare. Kabhi kabhi langda ghoda bhi race jeet jata hai.

Thanks Christopher, Bobby, Fred, Apoo, Abhi and Abraganza.

When will you ever learn to use your wife's/sister's nail paint. Tell her that Red and Silver nail paints are in vogue and you will be surprised they will actually go and buy them. Well rest all depends on your strategies. You will actually have a new red head :)

Sanju,

You need to be expert at "hooks". The LURE was left for long unattended for the hooks to be lost.

take care next time
