Rana and I decided to visit the breakwaters in Ajman, after reading the reports of teritex15. having visited the rocks earlier this season and seen some spectacular jumps by king, I wanted to target some Kings myself.

So headed there early in the morning around 6.00 am. Walking on the rocks with all the gear was nothing less than being on a military training session.

The bait (sardines) was in a bad state, so decided to catch some scads as there was a school swimming around.

After setting up the rods we had tea and buns as breakfast and soon after that had a strike. I sensed that it was something which was very powerful, giving short runs and then suddenly it went between the rocks. I could guess that it was a catfish so loosened the line to make it feel that it was free. As soon I felt the line moving again I started reeling in and the catty got landed.

Got fed up of them soon as they seem to be the only ones around, the biggest one landed was around the 5 kg mark. Managed to get 6 of them in total.

Also landed Sting ray which was estimated to be around 8 kg however we released it back into the waters.

Lost two fish as one clip gave way and another broke a 70 mm line. Had a blast till 1.30 and then it started getting too windy to stand there and fish.

Congrats once again Amit :)

If you go on weekdays why don't you try the extreme end. Man I have seen people pulling fish that had to be taken on their shoulders :)

This aint no exaggeration.

Thats the cat that got the rat. We have pulled out those kind in the Dubai Creek when fishing was allowed there, in the cornish. Also a few in Kuwait.
Nice catch.
