Well Gill Saheb,

A very nice range of fishes. Wow.. you must have enjoyed the great fights.. :P

Keep it up and thanks for posting..

I am amazed how you are able to land such range of carps on earthworm. especially the Catlas.

Share with us your setups if you can..

regards,

Ali.. :D

Ali Bhai. no special technique i use. these are common earth worms. actually every water has its own chemistery and fish habits. in northern areas of Pakistan anglers use chemicle(a type of bait) and aata to catch the carps and it work great but in our area nothing works except worms. we use ground bait as well and put some ground bait on our lead weights also...

Hi,

Wonderful fish caught. Fresh water fishing has its own fun and techniques. The snaps recalled my old memories. I used to fish in lakes regularly and used to catch fish like Rohu, Catla, Sepranas and other carp varieties, calabose. Few more I recollect were japanese putti, laser fish, catfish, tilapia and many more. But the sad part is i never thought of taking any pictures. Anyways congrats for the fish caught and happy fishing.

Spoonangler.

:D

Amir ur the man,

ALi Bhai just to put in a few pointers to what Amir just said, I have had the privilege of fishing with Gill Sb, he is one of the few anglers I know who has caught a catla ( known as Theila in Pakistan) and the amazing part is on worms. And two of the three he has caught were monstrous fish.

As for what bait the fish goes for, every area has its own dynamics, like Amir mentioned Chemical which is just a fancy name local anglers give to a concoction of herbs, gur and rice blended to form a dough kinda a thingy and the carp up north are crazy after it or may be have grown to love it over a period of time....

Gill Sahib, sorry to ask this but you say you caught these fish between 'September to November 2009 at different places in Pakistan'. How come each picture puts the date as 2010-02-18. And how come you are wearing the same clothes in all the pictures.

Sorry but this is a result of reading and watching to many detective books and movies. I can imagine you will understand being an advocate. hahahaha
