Hi All,

been in Rameshwaram and did some fishing there.
After four days on the island with not seeing a spot worth fishing, finally found a spot where big queenfish was feeding direct on the beech.

Came back in the evening to this Place and used a Rooster Popper 135mm Redhead.

After 15 minutes landed the first Queeni with 8kg, on the next cast
the second one with 10 kg.
The second one gave a nice first run with taking aprox. 100m Line and a jump as final.

After this missed many more fish but was no more able to propper hook one, same on the next day.

Tackle used:
Abu Garcia Tournament 8ft Spinning Rod
Penn Sargus 5000
Braid 50lb, Shock Leader 80lb

tight lines,

Markus

Hi,

Youre very lucky to see the queenie's feeding there. We await with outmost patience and hope to see such type of feeding coz this is the time when you have the maximum chances of hooking a fish. Congrats for the beauties. Thnks for sharing the pics and happy fishing.

Spoonangler.

Nice :)
hmm just a question.
To cast far as you did, do I need to use double line or something?
Because my rod doesn't cast far these days xD just a few metres or so now.
