Hi All,

Been a while since we took the boat out, till yesterday, when we decided to try out a few stck baits 4" lipless casting minnows 30 gms , which you are instructed by the manufacturer to use on the surface by fast retrieve or allow to sink and retrieve slowly.
We went out to a perfect calm sea with an out going tide , a lot of bird action and a sea teaming with sardines .

Had some serious fun with king fish on 15lb braid attached to 40 lb fluro leader tied to 20lb wire trace no swivels ,no crimps.

Hi Hoze,

Talk about ariel. Well the king fish do go ariel at the time of striking the lure. Yesterday I had one fish rocketing out of the water with the lure in its mouth more than six feet . Another one took the bait and shook it off and before I could say the choice words another one went air borne butting the lure into the air, fish went one way and the lure another! These images stay in your mind for ever.

I have had Kingfish go airel on me as well but only once, something I did not know they do untill I saw it happen with my own eyes.

The Marathi name for this fish in the Konkan is Bamboo-to-war or Towar as in up there as high as a bamboo refering the the fish leaping very high. So that should tell you that this fish can jump.

Super fish Jeen, as usual.
