Hey Ranger,

Nice looking water there and an equally nice looking murral there. Caught on spinner? I miss fishing for murral and should be doing some murral fishing soon.... I fish very similar water... outflows of dams near Bangalore/Mysore.

Regards,

Mighty Marlin.

Congratulation mate,

Nice Fish and very nice waters.

Every one who is going after a 9 Kg. plus snake head, I am reporting a good news for them. After mansoon, near my village, one Murral was caught from a field adjoining a old pond. The weight of the Murrel, ladies and gentleman, was, 23 Kg.

So every trophy hunter, take heart and start polishing your spinners and clean the soft frog, lying un-noticed in your old tacle box. Who know, the next cast, on a lilly filled water, may bring the 9 kg. plus murrel and you may become the next record holder. Amen  .

Regards,

Ali

Hi Pal,

Will start polishing the spinners and try our luck next time.

For your information, a month back we have visited the fisheries dept to get the permit and at that time we have seen some murrels caught by fishing net which weighted 10 + kgs .We had found out where the fishermen caught this big fellows.

We will try that place once the water level goes down little bit.

Happy Fishing.

Hi,

Hope this had come out from the pond to paddy field by mistake and farmers caught by hand.
