We went to scout a few locations to check how the game is this season.
Bops the spot is alive!!!!

The Result

Total strikes 2 landed 1 Barramundi, lost 1 because it straitened the treble hook.

Gear: Penn Spinfisher & Daiwa BG 60.
Lure: Rapala 18 GM MAG Gold Mackerel.

Game on guys!!!!!!

Congrats Abhi, that’s a good start to the season. :D

I missed the action :x .. There was a possibility of better results had you guys reached the place a couple of hours early.

That place can never go dead Tato.. have to get the timing right.

Bops the water colour was slightly murky.. Abhi got the strikes around 5:30 PM turn tide high to low.

Alexey its not me who got the strikes and landed the fish. It was Abhi ‘Spoon Angler’ . I was busy ground baiting behind the rocks. I had the runs… [smilie=sad.gif]

I was telling there were no barramundi in Chennai, because I was not able to catch them :oops:

in so many pics i hav seen a nylon string in the mouth of the fish... is it tied to the mouth after it has been caught ? and why? i am confused!!

Hi Ostrocastro,
The nylon string is tied after the fish is caught. Its just to try to keep the fish alive till you stop fishing and turn back. The fish is released in water for sometime and the strings other end is tied. Hope you understand me.
