it is one of those rare days when u get bite one after another...almost no time to rest.... caught 24 fish in 4 hours ....missed couple of them.... average size was around 800g.... mostly rohu... sometimes number of fish make u more happy than their size... :D

nothing happened for almost an hour...!!

Nice catch buddy.
It was really a wonderful to see you catch such large number of fish in such a short time. What did you use as bait? Share your experiance with us.

dev , the bait was bread, ant eggs and leftover rice of rice beer....mixed together to make a soft dough.... dip it in rotten coconut residue before casting..... this bait is pretty effective for rohu and mrigal ..... :-)

thanks shaphan.... i was fishing with 2 rods....bigeest was rohu weighin around 1.25kg......that was the biggest available in that lake..... i was using weight....it was a small spherical lead weight jus to hold the line tight ....my bait was little bigger than golf ball...with 4 hooks....local name for the set of hooks is (jhuppa).....hope fellow anglers frm bengal will understand wht i mean.... :-)
