Since all are in focus and have some artistic value I am guessing these were shot by Geeta?

Rajat I drive past Powai on my visits to Bombay and never really gave much thought the fishing out there. Just assumed its been ravaged by the city. Good to know that the lake is good for fishing.

I've seen some HUGE CROCS from the Renaissance Hotel. Have stayed clear of the shore since.

Dear Nikhil
It is some time really surprising that you pass up so many places and actually never even notice it. Powai is back in action thanks to the members of the club, it was I believe a tough fight few years ago it was almost lost . I am also very happy that you actually have spotted some crocs, man I would love to see some. We fish from the little cove on the L&T side where the club is actually situated . Please come one of these days I would request Ali bhai to show you around as I am still is not a member (Soon with god's blessings)
PM me when you want to visit
Rajat

Great Pics Rajat,

As with Nikhil I have stayed at the Renaissanse as thought that the body of water look good but no fish. Seen locals with drag/seine net go through the shallows but came up empty.

Nice shots..nicer location ( can see the city light, so should be near)…more so coz I am moving to Mumbai, will definitely like to visit the place. Do you need to be a member or take license?

Hi Pal Powai lake is right in the heart of Mumbai . There is membership for Powai club a coveted one for that, but I think they are issuing the daily permit too the best way to know and organise would be to PM Angler Ali a great guy he is also is the secretary of Powai club. I think you would love the experience of fishing in Powai.
tight lines
Rajat

Rajat thanks for the info on the Powai club. Will make it a point to take a look at the fishing next time. Do spoons work in Powai? Will have to browse the forums to see whats the lure of choice with the Powai regulars.

sorry mate Powai is strictly float/bait fishing and no lures are allowed and if I am not wrong the carp's are not into lures any way, and that's what is there in Powai some huge one's though. If you want you can look but as far as i know that's scene. I think you will realize that the fishing in Powai is really a totally different ball game.
cheers
