Hi friends,
Went on a fishing trip to harihareshwar with one of my close friend Leni. I was dissapointed bcoz of the bad climatic conditions. The sea was rough and the water was too choppy. So we decided to try in the baagmaandla creek. We caught two barramundis, one grouper and lost two. Then we went to a place called Anjarla at Khed. There we caught two groupers. Overall it was a wonderful experience. Check out the pics below.

Hi Abhi,
Great catch. Nice to know you guys are landing good fishes from the sea. For me the sea till day is a place where I land only EEEEEEEEEELLLLS and cat fishes.  . I cast and cast till my arms refuse to work. I try all the tricks in my bag and then shift to bait casting. Lo and behold... The waiting eels and singhara make a feast of my bait. Singhara is ok but the obliging eels are a nuisance, as they coil around the line and it is almost impossible to de-hook them without killing them. What to do man-what to do :!: :!: . I think I should be crowned eel cat fish ALI.. :!: :?: :?:  . On a second note...mark you all the pest of the sea, I will not give up due to you. I will come again and again till I land something   .
Regards...

Ali.

Spoonangler,

Great pics and thanks for sharing.
Do barramundi's and/or Mangrove Jacks eat bucktail jigs or other plastic bodied jigs bounced on the bottom?

Thanks,
Maruthu

Yes !
Scott (worldfisher) and I have caught Barra both by bouncing a jig over the sand and by crawing it allong the bottom in total darkness.
Doth shads and plastic grubs have worked on the jigs.

Thanks for the information Ken. I was catching nothing when the professional fisherman were nailing big ones from the bottom on live shrimp. I was plugging in 30 foot plus deep water by that time. Should have jigged the bottom when I knew there were fish feeding on the bottom.
