This trip was the best one I had taken. It was a 35 day trip in the Himalayas. Went to Himachal and Uttaranchal with my wife and had a great vacation. Here are some of the pics. Though I could not spend much time with the rod and the reel, but the whole trip was wonderful.

Hi Apoo
Great great pics. I have always believed that there is no place in the world like mountains and there is no better activity than trout fishing. It is not just angling, there is something very special about it. trekking and trout fishing go together. There is nothing like hiking for half a day to reach a lake at 13000 ft and find it absolutely virgin, full of brown trout. great feeling. and certainly a marvellous trip.
By the way, what tackle you used. This is a big brownie in the pic. Was it wild or caught from the farm? Great going mate.

Cheers

Sualeh

Hi Suleh,

Every trout cought were wild and they were not even weighed so that I could release them fast.

The tackle used was

1. Shimano Exage S.T.C. 5 pc travel rod (TEXS 270 MH) with Shimano Spirex 4000 RD reel. Line was Enigma 24lb mono (clear) with a Blue fox 3/16 spinner.

2. Quantum Great White Surf Rod 3 pc. (GWS 703 H). Line was Rapala 20 lb colour - light bottle green. Spinner was either a Kolkata made or a Chinese made.

Hi Yaj,
I will PM you the details of Himalayan Trout House as soon as possible. I dont know whether I can post the details here only or not. Bops will you please advice?

Cheers,
Appoo

20lbs and 24lbs line??!!!!! Apoo that was an over kill. Your catch would have doubled if you had used a finer line. Good going anyway.

Cheers mate

Hi Apoo,
its nice to see a person like you who really enjoys the gifts of mother nature. Also very satisfying to read that you could not wait to release the trout fast enough. Wish there were a lot more like you.
Keep it up,
Henry
