If it has taken in soooooo many hooks, it most probably is the roots of that tree which grows so close to the bank.
[smilie=damn.gif] .

.....else a crock. [smilie=asa.gif]

.....but then again if it was a crock, it would snap the line & not break the hooks. [smilie=headfuck.gif]

.......guys this is a crazy situation. Not one which I would want to be caught up in. [smilie=holyshit.gif]

Is there a pix? Can't see it. What about the one that was on Chem's phone. Post that and then see what happens....

Personally I would rather go catch them tiddlers at the jodh...

Mangur aren't bad, they just smell funny. (Sorry Mr Zappa)

Cheers

Yup! that is it.

But the kaka has reduced since so many anglers hang around the place. We should give it a shot someday. Either early in the morning or at sunset as Mangur hardly eat when the sun is high.

cheers

tried spinning for 'em... used vibrax and mepps... no luck... i think they are scavengers and not really hunters... at least in ponds where they have been stocked... cant say so about the wild fish!!!

Thanks for the comment Gypsy,

We dont have them in Pakistan but since they have taken hold in East Punjab they will eventually swim over.

Theyre damn ugly though and Ive heard theyre not even good to eat and if they dont take lures then they are absolutely useless. Give me a Singhara or a Mulley any day.

pray that the day never arrives when 'magur' make it to pakistan!!! that will be he end of the rivers and lakes there!!!

if you get a chance to do something to prevent the magur from getting a visa, do what you can... there are a bunch of people on IA who will swear against the magur!!!

Shaphan bhai,

Yeah Im down in Miami, caught a couple of small Jack Crevalles, barracudas and snook last week. Also a largemouth bass the week before.

I fish whenever i have time, which is not that often, Im spoiled for choice though there is an inlet full of inshore sea fish about a mile and half from my apartment and a freshwater canal with largemouth and peacock bass a mile in the other direction.
