Hahahahahahaha
what a bloody sunday! I still can't get the smile off my face. And it is driving my wife crazy.

As usual we left at 4.30am.... well make that 5. And reached the silo at 6.30. On route we picked up are gillie and some worms.

We reached the pond or should I call it a large turkish bath. The place is so small I had to check every cast to make sure I did not land in the fields on the other side. (doc you know what i mean. If you guys hadn't caught something there earlier I would never even have taken out my rod.)

We cast and it happened. My weighted bottom line had not even sunk when the line went bzzzzzzzzz. Sadly I lost the fish.

Two minutes later my float bobs a bit and then disappears. Grabbing my rod I fight with something big. And soon haul in a nice 2lb plus singara. IndianGypsy could not believe his eyes. "Singara here!!!???" is all he could say.

5 minutes later and the float disappears again. And out comes another singara, this one slightly bigger.

All this action is taking place on my side of the tub. So IndianGypsy reels in and shifts over. But still no bites.

Then all hell breaks lose. My bottom line goes tight and the reel starts screaming. Twice I bring the fish in and twice it takes a lap around the bath.

Finally I get it cose and we see colour. It is a big singara. Weighed 4.3kgs when it got home.

Sorry no pix of the big one as the man friday was to eager to make pakoras. Hopefully Dhruv would have shot the other two fish.

So the score from the bath tub : 3 singaras, a mangur, 2 eels, 2 silver and 1 small chilwa.

For a bath tub that is incredible.

we hopped across to the solly bridge, but the place was flooded... to much rain water... we can't hit the place till it subsides!

our pal has been instructed to clear channels and make access points all along at intervals of 30'

he should have the place ready when we get there next... how about we have a war council meet before then?
