Hi,
Myself and two of my friends are planning to go for angling to Omkareshwar dam on Narmada river in coming weekend. We are new to that place. It would be very helpful for us if anybody can share his experience/knowledge on that place. We are curious to know few things like,

1) which place is better: upside of the reservior (the dam) or downstream river ( will be very helpful is it can be indicated in the google map)

2) Which type of hook bait to be used?

3) DO we need any prior permission?

We are new to this hobby and we want to make this trip a memorable one. Any help is highly appreciated.
