Hi Samir

Trout fishing is banned in Nilgiris and all the trout water are now been undertaken by the forest dept and they are delecared as Tiger Reserve forest. :( :( :(

no no..those areas are not tiger reserve..oly mudumalai bandipur and some areas near gudalur tiger reserve.. and yes ...some of the areas under forest dept control... still we can fish in some main areas of avalanche lake i thinkk...not sure about fishing allowed or not..but its not tiger reserve..

Avalanche lake had been restircted for fishing , its under the forest dept controll from the behning and now its also included under the tiger reserve including Mukurhity national park.

can fish near by Ithalar village which is the end of Emarld lakle but its farm land where you wont get Rainbow.
