Hi All...
Had been to the coast last week end. Was joined by Salman and some other friends. After my last unsuccessful trip, I had started to believe that Lures won't work for me. Still I wanted to try them out.
We reached the town at 5.30 in the morning. Then settled down at a friend's place. Then began the 3km walk to the location that I had decided upon with the help of Google Maps. It was like a cliff with a flat platform below to stand. We prepared all stuff and started casting. one cast after the other, but all in vain. Tried changing lures (Mostly soft rubbers), nothing worked. I was trying a fire tiger coloured lure. I was all tired casting with the heavy telescopic. Was just about to give up when suddenly felt the strong pull. Then the adrenalin Rush began.... And landed a beautiful MJ. MY first fish on a Lure. So Lures do work ha...
Salman Casting.
The beginners.
Then cast again, another MJ... Then Again, and felt a strong pull. The rod was all bent... Being a novice, I had set the drag full tight.

And the fish unhooked it self and all I got were a few One rupee coin sized Scales.
Then we all were too hungry and went back.
We planned to get back at night to try some surf fishing. We reached the spot at 7 in the evening. Some of the guys started cooking Maggi. And suddenly we realized it was too dark to be a full moon day. Looking up, we could see the moon covered by the earth's shadow. We still did a few casts, but due to the poor visibility, we didn't try longer.
I look forward to more such trips.
Regards,
Humaid
