HI Manish,

Good pics...

you location at Borgaon seems to be heavily netted!!! try to find a spot on the lake which has submerged trees etc. basically a place where they will think twice about putting their nets... thats where the fish are.... the fish have been basically spooked by the number of nets...

your other pics (the rocks) looks like a good place for spiny eels... use earthworms or small bait fish (puthia/rosy barb) as bait, especially in low light conditions....

Tight Lines,

IG

Looks like these places have great potential and with some effort, will produce good catches.

You must have enjoyed your 15 days outing to these beautiful locations, specially Adegaon.

Don't let the absence of any catch bother you. The catch is but a part of angling. With better understanding of locations, baits and techniques, I am sure you will land many fishes in future.

Thanks for sharing some lovely photos.

Regards,

Ali.

Hi Manish
It is long back that we used fish in the futala lake. It’s more than 20-25 years I had seen the lake, the photographs shows lot of constructions/hoardings on the wall side road, when we were studying in the central school(Just behind the lake) we used to bunk the classes and do fishing in the back hajariphad side and the small streams joining the lake in the jungle. It was just lonely road, lake one side and jungle on another with lot of tamarind trees. Thanks for reviving the memories of childhood.
And I loved the lovely vidharbha topographies which you captured. Best of luck for great fishes ahead.

Hey Manish...don;t worry about not catching...just wait it out. Meanwhile, apart from your individual sortees, try to tag on with a senior. This will allow you to watch and learn - a must for newbies like you and me.
Hope you get your big catch soon :D

@ sanjay......thanks a lot......futala is gaining it's beauty again, it's a favourite hangout place for all the nagpurians. when i started angling here some 2 years back, it was full of garbage and smell.....you are invited to come here anytime and refresh your memories. will post some more pics of futala soon specially for you.

@ MM ......thanks .......you are right, the one angler who is with me in adegaon is into angling from past 20 years, we tried 3 different baits in adegaon maida, rotten flesh & green moss but none of them worked. I am very lucky to have some of the experienced people around me......

@ arish.......thanks .....i don't think i can master this art because there is so much to learn and learning is a never ending process........good to know that you trying your best for the same.....good luck.

@rajat bhai........thanks a ton.......I am trying my best to learn from you all....will update of my R&D time to time.

never got the chance to properly post anything on this forum. I have been hitting the vena dam near nagpur for the past 2 sundays and plan to go this sunday as well.

Last week, these were the 2 biggest catch. could only fish till 12 and then the rains started. Hoping for better and bigger catch this Sunday.

Below is a snap of my uncle with the 2 biggest catch of the day.

Awesome place Manish.

As Ali said and yes I too agree with his comments. This place has a potential to hold some good fish. I was thoroughly looking that the pics and feel as if you should be trying on the opposite banks as they look like fairly deeper pools. The place from where you are taking photos could very well old murrels and the likes. Since there is silt "Catfish" should be commoners there. The other side looks to be shady too. You might as well try and find a way to access the other banks. You never know :)

Thanks for sharing the great pics.
