if they fish this well , they don't need to do any thing else ! great mulley's and rawas. i notice that the mj was caught on a soft plastic bait. care to enlighten me as to the retrieve method used ? i am still not scoring on them and since i switched to daiwa tournament braid which is very thin and casts a mile (0 % abrasion resistance though) i have not caught any thing on them .

Ace, i dont use the soft plastic baits much. However Jeenu catches most of his fish with them. He will answer to your questions soon.

Cheers,

Jeen

at Ace
The shads work best when they're allowed to sink a little and slow retrieved along the bottom.the fact that they are snag proof is an added bonus.
and at vikram, the mulleys were mostly on little cleos, spinner baits and blue fox size 6 spinners

cheers
Jeenu

Jeen,

Cool thread.

Nice MJs there.
I never had any luck with the 6" shad (bouncing on the bottom)
Will try to swim them close to the bottom the next time I try them.

BTW, what line test tackle do you suggest for Murrel to get 'em out through the weed and still have some fun.

Maruthu

Maruthu, Need around 25lb test to pull the fish out of the snags. We use braid so that we can cast these 5 to 10 gm frogs. Also a short mono leader.
Keyur, we are here of course. Waiting for the renewed boat registration .. taking a while this time. Its quite windy right now.
