Hi friends,

Today i visited madhuban dam for the first time for finding a location suitable for fishing and for fishing permit. I contacted a local fishermen there for taking me inside the dam. i aksed him and one another guy for the fishing permit, both of them said there is no fishing permit here. I went inside the dam for locating a place where the water is deep and found many a place suitable for it and also the water was very clear. whereas i didnot find any fish jump..but i m still hopeful...will go there and try my luck very soon....here are some of the pics that i clicked

Hi Manish,

Ground baiting work best from the bank where there is average deepness not too much deep! However if you are fishing in the middle of lake on boat do use techniques other than feeder rig such as spools, lures etc.

Tight Lines :D

guys,

after a week long stop of my favorite sport i was again back to it today. i was daydreaming of the fish so finally reached the lake at around 12.00 noon .i saw a drastic decrease in the water level & i think it was around 8 foot. It was good for fishing so have decided to go for my newly made feeder rig after selecting a good spot. after an hour or two i decided to change my selected spot as it was the way of the fishermen's boat. selected a different spot but seen only a jump right on the top of my feeder rig. no catch but have captured some nice pictures

keep trying mate with pop ups this time i am sure you will get hook ups [smilie=coolup.gif] [smilie=coolup.gif] also ask the locals what the fish get to eat around there may be you need to ground bait the area a bit :D

hi rajat bhai,

actually the local people around the dam doesn't understand hindi they only speak the tribal gujrati language which i don't understand.......but fortunately i got one person who told me that there are few fishes left in dam and from 4 or 5 year the society of this dam is not putting seeds [smilie=damn.gif] they are real a** h****. this is the same problem i face in nagpur except futala. today too i went to this place get no hits was playing with the pop-up setup... with high hopes i am returning to nagpur tommorow.

thanks for your suggestion :-)

regards
Manish
