Good luck Manish,

As Arish mentioned, you can actually hook a croc. A good way to avoid them would be to mix Crocodile repellent with your bait.
The other option would be to wear Crocks footwear (choose a good colour) & dangle them in the water. The crocodiles would be holding their stomachs laughing at your shoes & forget to eat the bait.

either way.....good luck

It was around 11 am I met Ali bhai in powai. we both reached the lake without delaying. After some of the formalities in MSAA office and prepration of the hook bait (rolling of the bread crumbs). We headed straight to the boat stand.

we reached machan and then ali bhai and his helper started making the magic feeder bait. there were a lot of things which he included in the bait but the actual base was bread. at first we started only with 1 rod with a combination of feeder and hair rig.

then i decided to try some float fishing. i tried it for around 1 and half hour but it was of no use

then ali bhai decided to remove the float and set the tooth pick rod with a feeder and hair rig combination. it worked well and we got a mirgal of 3 kg in the second instance. mirgal gave a very good fight of 15 mins....ali bhai offered me to tackle the fish but i was afraid of losing it.finally ali bhai tackled the fish.

magic feeder rig was working well with several bites coming on and on on the other rod

rajat bhai got the news about mirgal so he joined us...

so here we got other 2 rods of rajat bhai(total 4 rods 3 in a row and 1 tooth pick in side which is not in this pic)

we got several bites and 2 hook ups after the mirgal but unfortunately we loosed the fish after run. 3 of us were scratching our respective heads because some strange bites were happening that day.

at the end my visit to powai was surely a dream coming true....I learned a lot from ali bhai and rajat da....i can say that they are masters in angling..thanks again to to both of u....:D

@ all: sorry for the picture quality........
i have a mobile video too and will post it soon

regards
Manish (nagpur)

Wow one side is the dense greenry, the other side are the sky scrapers and in between them is machan where you were fishing, it was like a dream indeed! Congratulation once again on your successful trip, landing the single mrigal is enough! :P

hi guys,

returning back from powai after taking guidance from ali bhai became very fruitful for me as i started working on the method feeder and i also got succesful when i hooked 2 big grass carps(9 & 10 Kgs). it took me almost 2 months of regular R&D to make the method feeder accordingly in which rajat bhai also supported me.

now again as i am near mumbai i got a chance to fish with the gurus of angling........reports coming soon

regards
Manish
