Blah Blah blah......

Here is the catch of last friday. It was better as there was no beer involved. All the Garfish was caught on fly. Rest is bait. We used fresh prawns. The fish were caught an hour before hightide and an hour after hightide (High tide = 8am). Strange?

Our usual spot was taken over, so we fished here. See the other jeeps that were parked on sacred ground? Shooting people is also illegal so we had to compromise.

Tight lines guys, the winter is coming in......
Wish you all loads of fish.

Sorry, I might have confused you, when I said 'shooting' I wasnt talking about a camera. I have fished in Kuwait before, but since I had to show my ID everytime I caught a fish, I left  . The journey was fun and much the same as before (Desert Duel -1) so I kept the details out. There are a few spots which are good for fishing, but you find many people just park their vehicles on the spot and light up a barbecue and hence you cant fish there. Then you feel like pulling out a gun and getting on with it. That would explain some used .22 shells lying about on fishing spots  . Bobby, now I couldnt resist that!

Hey Hozefa

No hard feelings, just kidding around. The only place in the Middle east where they block the main road and check ID's is Kuwait. I only post fish snaps cos this is about fishing. For photos of faces.... go to facebook :P . I have fished off the pier at the Marina, Scientific center, near the kuwait towers, Fahaheel, Bubiyaan bridge, Shuwaikh, salmiya beach, Khiran, we used to stay in the Fintas Towers, Aliah and Ghalia, and fish on the beach right infront of the towers.

Ali,

There is no need to ask. Just let me know when you are coming and I will organize a friday outing to this place :D . The part III is already done and it was not much different  ..... This time we took two UK nationals with us and they were amazed by the 'peace and serenity' of the place.

hey Adolph
one thing i wanted to know/ask is what types of fishes you can catch in kuwait/qatar?
and you used to do shore fishing or boat fishing......
one more thing i want to know based on your experience, which is better for fishing Qatar or kuwait?

i do shore fishing in Fahaheel and in this 2-3 years of fishing i have only caught a handful of fishes which were more than a KG.....
i do catch breams, crockers, flaunders, gar fish, bally-hoo, and once a queenfish and a barracuda....
can you advice me a good plcae to fish from in kuwait...
thanks in advance
