"...They were caught in the Pumistone passage between Bribie Island and the mainland off Toorbul using 12 lb Siglon mono with 1/0 bait keeper hook and 3gang 1/0's baited with blue pilchards.
We fished the last 3 hours of the out going tide, ie between 6.45 to 9.30 am, on the drift in a tinny and used a tiny running ball sinker[ size 0] above the swivel with a slightly heavier trace to the hook.We dropped quite a few due to early strikes and lifting tham out without a landing net..."

Yep, I saw those photos. Glenn next to a white and blue boat with an Akubra and holding up a pair of nice looking flatheads..

Doc, have you bought the guns yet? Missing the smell of cordite and the recoil of a 30/30...

I guess its time for me to hit the Frankston range in Melb.

Looks like a spot of fishing in Brisbane is on the cards...trying to convince the missus that I need to go to take a side trip from Sydney for urgent meetings. Incidently the Uni is not open on Saturday so I might as well take a walk in the foreshore and have a look see. The case is pending, subject to approval. Will keep you and Glen posted...

Thanks Dr Asif for posting those flathead. We caught 4@ 55 to 57 cms eah and 3 @35cms each.Enjoyed the feed of battered fillets deep fried by Kel's wife Dawn cooked later that morning and eaten with a fresh garden salad and hot chips.
Look forward to catching up with you Kapil when you are next in Brisbane.
Sorry but i am a bit late tuning in to this site.
cheers,
glenn.

Asif: Great to know that you have got two. Any telescopic sights?

Glenn: Thanks for the PM. I will call once my program is firmed up. Haven't caught any Bream for a few years. My friends are mad about Snapper and King George whiting...

Cheers
