hi! thou i hav not caught any fish in ratnagiri..i hav tried my hand at various locations many times.... where exactly do u plan to go in ratnagiri? i don't think monsoon is a good time purely because of the windy weather and heavy rains. In the ratnagiri region, you can try ganpatipule or on your way there you may look at revdanda, agardanda(salav bridge) thou these places are spread out from each other.

Hi Merwyn The Monsoon is a dangerous time to go fishing especially in rocky areas.Waves may seem normal and very approachable and its easy to loose your focus about your surroundings and venture too close. There are waves that come out from no where that we Salties and Mariners call ROGUE WAVES these waves are bigger then normal and if you get caught there is very less chances trying to swim out from a rocky area. There where two fatalities at Manori point which claimed the lifes of 2 brothers which i definetly attribute to rogue waves.None of us salties venture out but try to fish small calm bays and ponds.
