Do a search for infrmation about Goa - there's lots of it on here.
I've not fished it at this time of year myself but my mate Ashok recons it's well worth fishing small baits about now because there are lots of Palu and Mullet about.

Hey Santosh,
How was your trip at Terekol? Did you fish any other locations?

Hi,

Kens spot on with the small baits for palu and mullet. If you can source some live prawns and find the right spot the palu will go wild. I recently saw loads of these beautiful fish in one river mouth that were just waiting to be caught. they hate any resistance so let them take the bait well before striking

And of course if you can manage a few mullet then you have one of the best live baits around!

Also as ken says there is a lot of info about Goa around the forum that can be found with a search. The locals will also provide you with lots of up to date info which you can't beat. My blog at www.worldbiker.blogspot might be of some assistance too.

Hey Santosh, what do you think you lost? i know that feeling well mate! :D

tight lines, Scott

Hi Scott,

I lost one more yesterday at Terekol in the evening when the tide was coming in. I have never seen Barra's feed like that. Lot of barra action from the beach. I am regretting for not taking my surf rod & a better reel. The barra's were jumping way beyond my casting distance with a 7 ft travel rod and small lures.
.. the first must be a MJ as the lure had teeth marks.

Raj, I am on a vacation with wife & kids. Will be back in Mumbai tomorrow.

Santosh

Hi Santosh,

unlucky mate, Its really frustrating when you can see them but can't quite reach them!! a good run down the beach before the cast sometimes helps but often they will keep jumping just out of range

It can be fun there if they are in range and everything is just right but that doesn't happen too often. sometimes they will be so close that an underarm flick will get your lure to the right spot :D

Hope you and the family had a great holiday,

Scott

Hi Santosh,
How have you been? Hope you had a good vacation and sorry to read how you missed out on the barras. Was the sea very choppy at Terekol? Wish you better luck on the next outing. My friends thank you and Abhijit for helping out with info about H'hareshwar.
