Greeings everyone,

Would all anglers who are registered on IA, and reside in the North please stand up!

I'm putting together a list of all members who whould like to participate in the North Zone Angling Contest. Individuals from other zones are also welcome to participate.

The date/venue will be decided based upon general consensus in a democratic manner. Voting. However, if the decided upon location is not centrally located, then adequate time to be giving for making travel arrangments/babysitters/permission from the wife etc. etc. etc.

Lets honor someone with the prize distribution ceremony; how about Babli, I'm sure every who has been to the pump house will agree! (Errrr.... Prashant?)

You can either post your Aye and Nays or pm me.

Tight Lines,
Dhruv

Greetings gents...
seening the way this monsoon has played havoc in Northern India (all rivers between Pak and Nep are in spate), I'm still trying to work out a good time... the big ones won't bite till the waters don't clear... am also trying figure out accomodation options besides the Bhakra Hilton... as most of you are aware, the rule of thumb is that most good fishing locations have crappy accomodation!!! trying to figure a scene where the men won't be beaten up by the wives!!!

So bear with me... choice of rivers so far... Beas, Sutlej, Ganga and Corbett rivers...

Cheers,

Dhruv

My suggestion, since the bait is taken in the water and considering the time involved in hauling it in and then trying an almost impossible task of removing the hook as well as beak that is willing to take an index off.

I vote for 8 points.

Sorry to break up your little party. But Ms Toitle and I don't see each other any more. The end was fast and painless. Just a few tears in the rain.

Since I still have my extra heavy duty toitle rod around I am will be happy to put it to good use. Aaron, Sam and IG start running, now!

The points system will not work. Different locations will have different species. Stick to largest fish and weight of total catch for the day as a measure of success.

Hi Bops...

The species listed are 'universal' in northern India... oy thing missing from the rivers is the grass carp which is found in all lakes... have created the species list based on the four shortlisted locations!!!

Cheers,
IG
