We have to change the resort as only 4 rooms are available at MTDC.

Is everybody comfortable with basic non-ac rooms ? [smilie=umm.gif]

Santosh,

Four rooms are fine. We can arrange some more accommodation in the last minute when the list is confirmed. Worst come worst, some of us can stay in tents.

Regards,

Santosh & Fred,

As RCO of this zone, I request you to kindly put an invitation to all anglers across India, requesting their participation.

Regards,

Ali.

You guys can join Mumbai Zone for Salt Water Meet.

FW meet in Jan again gets pushed into the Peninsular part... how about letting us guys up north play host for the FW meet??? Its only fair! The northern crowd will be more interested in the FW meet... i'm pretty confident, 90% of us northies have not even gotten our toes wet in the ocean, let alone have gear to handle a GT or the likes, plus, We'd rather take a big mahseer over a GT anyday!!!

Guys, regardless of where the competition is held it's the catches which will be taken into account. No one is being forced to fish in freshwater or saltwater.

Ali bhai, due to the lack of saltwater access to most of us on the forum except the Mumbai and Chennai anglers, I strongly suggest that this event be restricted to a Freshwater event only. There will be too much confusion trying to match saltwater catches against freshwater catches.

Dhruv, can you be RCO for the fishing in the North? Can you suggest a location which will be easier for anglers to get to from Delhi?

The Bangalore event will be held at Manchinbele.

Cheers
Bops

Bops,

I'd be happy to be the RCO for the North. I'll confer with rest of the people up north and will shortly post our ideas.

Cheers,

I think there should be a saltwater and a freshwater category. Otherwise I agree with Bops.

Ali only one rod should be permitted. Winner should be decided on the points given and will depend on the Type of fish, size & numbers; for example;

Barra: 6 pts
Grouper:4 pts
MJ: 2 pts.
Plus
Weight: 1pts / Lb
Numbers: 2pts.

If a barramundi of 10 lb is caught the total points earned will be 6 + 10 + 2= 18. if its two MJ of 5 Lb the total points will be 4 +10 + 4=18.

Sounds OK..?? [smilie=huh-ani.gif]

Santosh

This has reference to propose points mentioned by you.

Kindly let is know what will be the points if anybody got tortoise??????? [smilie=smack.gif]

Have you guys finalized the points for the fishes?

Do not forget some fish that could be caught like GTs, Ravas and Barracuda. I do also think that it is easier to catch a Grouper/RockCod than it is to catch an MJ.

Bobby, indeed the MJ is a much better fighter than a grouper, what about the holes, rocks the grouper uses???

At H'war, the possibility of GT (maybe just during monsoon), ravas (rare ones from bankot bay) and barracuda is close to nil.

Mr. Arun, I will let you know.

With RockCods and Groupers the fight is won or lost at the strike, there is nothing more to it. Who says that MJ's do not get down between rocks and holes?

U bet santosh, the bugger followed me wherever i went.. the first time i seen its head out in the waters.. for a fraction of a sec i was shit scarred.. it looked as if some dead body floating.. then realized its a Turtle.. my lure fell a little short of it.. quickly reeled in and moved to another spot and there he was again.. this happened 3 times.. and no fish thereafter... Turtle luck.
