The best fishing was close to where people were washing clothes and bathing. The rods used were Shimano RG-SU, the reel was Daiwa Spinmatic-X 500T, 2 lb monofiliment line with a Mepps #2 spinner with a bronze blade.

Cheers,

Alexgreenwood is correct, the canal is off and below the Bhavani Sagar Dam 28 Km from Mettupalayam

Bops & Tathagata with regard to the picture size, I thought about it and I realized that the fault is with the picture mode. The pictures were taken in the 3 Mega pixels size which is too large for the forum requirements. I need to reset the camera mode to VGA which is meant for E mail pictures. This size should fit the forum requirements without resizing. Will try it the next time out and the results will be there for all to see.
Regards

Great stuff mate nice pics too keep them coming .For the resizing of pics just use Microsoft office picture manager tool it comes with window XP Microsoft office so that you don't loose quality while shooting it . you can copy paste pics in a different folder and after selecting your pics then you can just do a select all and resize them it has built in options for web posting sizes too . Hope this would help [smilie=coolup.gif] [smilie=coolup.gif]

Rajatmukherji,
I tried what you suggested in Microsoft office picture manager , I resized and pressed okay, then I compressed to email size and pressed okay. The size setting summary shows the reduced size but not the copy itself--what did I do wrong :?: :?: Should the copy size not reduce :?: :?:
Need Help, don't want to get pronged if i post photos again
regards
Michael

The topic title is in quotation marks because it is meant to be sardonic as a follow up to the extinct nilgiri trout fisherman topic a few treads earlier.

Hello Michael,
Try this tool it will help you to resize the Pictures. File ImageResizer.exe. All you need to do is put the pictures in a folder, select all - then right click on the selected pictures and left click on Resize Pictures.

Its always fun to practice or (substitute) trout fishing with warm water alternatives.

I fly fish for jumbo chilwas. I rarely spin for stream trout anymore, only in large lakes when targetting bigger trout with big spinners and plugs.

Rajat, we have this fish in Powai (called as Khavli)

And as rightly mentioned by alexis, they are known as Carnatic Carp.

The Nilgiti trout are actually Rainbow Trout introduced around 1932
