Hogenekal - Too crowded since it's a tourist spot.

Hi Riaz,

Did you ever manage to go to Hogenekal? Back in the day it apparently had some big mulley. Mahseer as well, but I think there's considerable poaching going on upstream of the place.

Wonder if anyone on the forum's been there recently?

Mighty Marlin.

Hi Riaz,

Did you by chance ask them about mulley (Wallago Attu)? I've heard there have been some big ones caught from there. The other place was the outflow of KRS. I caught some decent Mahseer there on spinner but no mulley. Some good fishing there also.

Regards,

Mighty Marlin.

Hi Riaz,

One can catch Wallago Attu on spoons, the ideal type is made of copper & some what is kidney shape. Don’t know if the big ones take spoon, but I have heard locals at kundalika catching them on live frogs.
