We hit Harihareshwar last Saturday at noon. First Santosh and I looked around for lodging, as soon as we entered lodge we saw the dreaded thing. Santosh warned “don’t touch it”, yeah as if I am going to listen.

The dreaded thing….

We started casting in the evening turn tide (Low to High). Everyone got strikes and landed fish except me (the god damn jinx).
First strike – Hemant – Mangrove Jack.
Second strike – Balamama - Mangrove Jack.
Third strike – Santosh - Mangrove Jack
Forth strike – Hemnat – Grouper
Fifth strike – Balamama – Mangrove Jack
Sixth strike – Balamama – Mangrove Jack lost while landing.
Lure lost 2.

Sunday we hit the place at 6:30am
Santosh got the first strike a descent size grouper however his fluorocarbon leader couldn’t stand the abrasion of the rocks. Then came the barra with beautiful aerial leaps…. Game over.

Thanks guys for the wonderful trip.. I thoroughly enjoyed fishing at ganesh gully & the nice company .. had I listened to Tats and used wire leader, I could have possibly landed that big grouper.. got him close to the shore (while some how saving my self being pulled in [smilie=me-likey.gif] ) but got cut on the rocks :x .. Tats, I had warned you not to touch the "dreaded thing" [smilie=damn.gif] ... Mken curse is like a virus, its spreading all over ..

A Big Lesson Learned: Use wire leader while fishing from Rocks to save yourself from having a dent in your pocket and more so from a dented ego..

Hi Spoony,

We all missed you :-) ... I am sure the fun would have been even more with you making for the trip.

Most hits were on redhead (3 MJ and one grouper) .. the barra was caught by Balamama.

The grouper I lost was on SXR 14 GGM.

Santosh

Hi Friends,

Nice catch and great fishing. Santosh you look real happy. Well done man. .
Just to inform you all that one more curse is in the making. I have consulted my voodoo doctor to cast a curse on one of my friend that he will not be able to catch baramundi/ ravas before me.....  (Santosh - are you listining    ).

One more thing - I invited one gentle man to fish with me in Powai, promising that he will not catch any turtle there as there are no such dreaded thing found in Powai but lo and behold, what i spotted on my last trip there.... [smilie=headfuck.gif] :!: :!: , the Mr. turtle giving me a cool look with a smile in his eyes. man am i in for a Curse...  . I am going to see my voodoo doctor to sort that mess out and divert the impending curse on some one else..    .

Ali.

Ali, I had a tough 2 months & you know it  .. apart from the mangurs I did not catch any fish in powai.. forget about the big rohus that broke my line..

But I am back with the fishes now  , the jinx ended with me catching a MJ while on a fishing trip with Fred :D and what about the 10 Lb rohu I caught last night..??? :D :D (me and Ali caught 2 rohu's of 10 Lb each in just 2 hrs of fishing from 7 PM tp 9 Pm.. pics later)

I am now unstoppable   ... wait till I come back from Tarkarli.. don’t know about a Ravas, but a BIG BARRA is on its way..

Thinking about it.

It's a bit like dealing with Santa. You've got to be good.
