Very Happy

I decided to discover the joy of sea fishing and after getting some very use full trips from Vishal and Santosh(My new found angler buddies in Mumbai) decided to go for it yesterday. The result was not too bad after three hours of sun and sea landed up this small beauty of a red snapper, Although Santosh told me there is no red snappers in India, but it looked like one. He mentioned some other name but I forgot it. Any way around it was around 1 pound and about 9 inches long I was thrilled. I will try and load picture not been able to do it now now.

Hmmmmm! That is great mate.

Now give us some more details of your trip.

By the way, Stick with vishal, santosh and gang. They'll get you into the fish. And if you can catch up with Angler Ali, the real master of mumbai

I already have met Ali Bhai in fact went to Powai on Saturday to meet him and then I met Vishal. I think I am going really enjoy my new found hobby. I meeting some really great guys pal .Well as for the trip i went in the morning and start ground baiting with some really rotten prawns and sand and then used prawns as bait as i do not have any significant tackle till now (In the process of getting one) i used a simple hook and went blind as there was no point try to use a float (heavy high tide) after couple of sangs in the rocks got the fish around 12.30
tell you truthfully a great feeling
will let you guys know when i update my gear you can give me some more pointers

Congrats, Rajat,

That one is great on your first try in salt water. Did you use lead for bottom feeding?

Cheers!

Arun
