The PHG has been at it for some time but been to dam tired to post any reports. Those early morning wake ups and cold beers in the sun take their toll. But we have been out there with our lines in the water catching some fish.

Here is Sanjay with a carp. Sanjay made the more 'experienced' members look pretty dumb as he kept puling out carp after carp. It is only later that we realised that he was not unhooking them. Just tossing them back in the water, waiting a while and then screaming that he had another one.

The next newbie is Phish. He got broken in yesterday. Fortunately for us some sense has crept in and we left at noon. After a couple of beers we got down to fishing. Dhruv's new powerful, milkmaid bait worked like a charm. By evening our bag had 4 common carp, a rahu and 3 singhi. The beer had slowed our reflexes and we missed many bites.

Here's Phish with his first ever carp.

Hey Bops!

Forgot to add that most of the carp were caught on the new Daiwa rods. Both Phish and I used them. Great action and very smooth reels. Thanks Mate that was a good buy for us. Me thinks Dhruv will be getting in touch with you soon.

cheers

And finally after offering appropriate appropriation's to all the gods of fishing managed to join the PHG on its newest exciting adventures.

Balmy Sunday afternoon, the wind in the willows, beer in hand and Indian gypsy blasting the stereo with some eclectic music. We made our way to "X marks the spot".

Yes they did blindfold me and also fed me a noxious cocktail of drugs to disorient me in order to keep it all a secret. But little do they know I dropped breadcrumbs on the way.

And lo behold the Fevicol Jodh

And so began the hunt

Mahseerken spoke the ancient words of power on our rods and the special turtle one for his.
And it worked, :D :D

ok... my 2 cents... we need to change Kens name from MahseerKen to TurtleKen... Bops... please please please change his login id... I've never seen him catch a mahseer but I seen him hook the biggest (& the smallest) turtles there are in the sub-continent!!!

But on the whole, it was a good afternoon spent on the water, and the fishing was fun till the damn buffalos came and trmpled my line!!! damn... Eljefe... got your buffalo ghee... (ok ok no wise cracks)

Good bag for the day... but in the past few weeks, all the newbies seem to be having all the luck... me thinks its time to get back to the basics all over again!!!

Phish... I used the bread crumb trail for ground bait!!!!
