Hi folks,

It would be nice if each member could post one photo taken by him/her which he/she feels is the best picture taken till date. The picture must be related to angling or the outdoors and each member is allowed one pic, so choose wisely :-)

You could use photobucket or the Imageshack toolbar(available in the new post screen). Please restrict the image size to under 800 X 600
For instructions on how to post take a look at the instructions in the image gallery.

Cheers
Bopanna

Here's my pick. It's a photo of Cauvery cowboy and Mighty Marlin silhouetted against the setting sun in Kerala. Taken Aug 17th, 2001

Just came across this picture that you posted Bops. Wow, that was a long time ago.

Hey Cauvery Cowboy,

That was the last time we met, back in 2001. I hope we'll get to fish again sometime soon.

Regards,
Mighty Marlin.

Here are my picks. I would not call them my "best photos" but they do have context with the "outdoors" and are from my canoe journey down the Sepik river in Papua New Guinea. "Onward to Kaningara" and "Liebert with lunch". Basically the handline i had yielded no fish so Liebert killed a flying fruit bat with a throwing stick.

Thanks Bops for the compliment and that is a large bat the kid is holding. He had knocked it out of the sky with a throwing stick and we ate it that evening with large grilled sago grubs for flavouring which tasted like coconut chutney gone very wrong.
