Hi folks I have some news for you all.

I've been nominated as the representative of the International Game Fish Association. From what I understand this is a first from South India.

I look forward to promoting the sport of angling in India with your help and the backing of the IGFA.

Cheers
Bopanna

Hi Bops,

Hearty congratulations !!

Can IGFA help us with some of our conservation efforts??

What about some publicity, we need Sport Fishing to be portrayed to the Indian audiance in the right perspective.

Sandeep

If the conservation efforts are directed towards protection of fish and their environments I'm sure the IGFA can help. But before they do anything like that we will have to establish angling as a popular sport here in India.

A couple of angling competitions are in order. I will be checking out a lake venue off kanakapura road tomorrow morning to see whether something can be organised there.

Hi Bops,

We have to promote sport fishing as a recreation and fun activity, getting close to nature and yourself / family / friends, conservation of our natural resources, and finally as a sport which can generate funds to support its core objectives because without funds these cannot be achieved.

Let the forum bring its experience, passion and commitment to provide you with content to make this happen with the help of IGFA. The info. has to be presented in structured and meaningful manner. But let the contributions start...........

I am willing to help you in this.

IGFA and WASI are two different entities and as of now do not have any tie-ups.

Dont leave the rest of us out. :-)
If there isnt one already, why not Indian Angling Association,we have members spread out all over, increasing everyday given that IA is a great platform.
Thanks
Sanjay
