Folks
Was planning to take a break with family for a couple of days in 1st and 2nd Wk of June.
Can I get some info on the weather pl,would the monsoons have set in,is the ocean safe at that time for water sports.
Would the the place be lively around that time, here I mean the shacks on the beach,or the bars and pubs etc etc or would they have closed shop.
Was planning on staying in the Candolim/Sinquerim/Calangute area.
Gladly appreciate some help to arrive at a decision.
Pl drop a PM if there is a local member.
Thanks in advance,
Cheers,
Sanjay

Sanjay,

Goa in June will be lots of rains.. note that the rains are predicted early this year.. and will be touching kerala a week before than usual....

The sea will be rough in June.. my advice to u is to stay away from any water sports or venturing in the waters even if u know to swim...

If on budget, stay in Baga as only there u'll see some places open .. all shacks will be closed as no one would like to pay operating charges to the government..

nevertheless, goa is very nice in monsoon.. check in some nice resort (will give heavy discount) and just relax..

Send Dean a PM.. he stays in Goa ...

Regards,

Santosh

Sanjay,

Stay either at Baga or Calangute. You can try Panjim too. But not in Candolim, Sequirim or in South Goa. I stayed at Sunshine resort on the way from Calangute to Baga. The owner stays at the hotel and so he will try to make you feel comfortable. Went to all the places at that time. There were nobody at Candolim, Sequirim, Aguada, Arambol, Anjuna, Merce (my spelling may be incorrect), Majroda, Palolem etc.

All the best,
Apoo
