I have not started serious fishing from saltwater and caught only couple of fishes so far. So my vote is not based on what I did so far (nothing much and hence), but what I would like to do most, ie., Saltwater !!

You said it mate!

However this aint applicable to new guys, cause if u close to sea u start sea, close to river/lake you start fresh, I'd say best of both but still haven't experienced the sea.

I vote best of both.

The arm chair is ridiculous!

Can we add another one, which drops "B", so it reads " Arm Chair Angler: I just sit in a chair and itch all day!- to fish." (in best of spirit and humor) :-)

I am more of a sea angler.
I also enjoy fresh water fishing.

Also have to confess that occasionally I do become a arm chair angler.......(sit in a chair and bitch all day). It can be fun once in a while

Here is the proof;

really wish i could.... would love too actually.. but as they say ..if wishes were horses , beggers would ride .. or something like that .. but still . one day .. i'll try... have been mulling over it for some time.. i only said it coz you guys have all the chaps you need .. rajatda is a director right? you have been angling for ages , santosh is well versed with the konkan , and you of the north.. i even voiced this to my angling mentor... so lets see... anyway .. like i said .. was just musing... thinking dreaming.. and this is still very much a pipe dream so...

I live in Assam and so fresh water fishing is the first vote. But liked a lot fishing the shores of Goa, Maharashtra and Orissa. Wherever i see water i definitely check the water for fish
