Hi Glen,

you sure have come a long way. I can see from your post that you are no quitter, but someone who would rise to the challenge & difficulty that one confronts in this journey called life.

Besides that, this is a rather scary post.........

1970 is now a frightful year (I'll keep my distance)

Fire burning & Bops included is also a very worrying thought.

Hello Keyur and Apoo, fellow members,
Firstly thanks for your responses although I can't see the "Scary" part or why you have to" keep your distance" from me because of my post Keyur. I could understand if I was living next door to you and I had Smallpox!!
Apoo, yes I have been missing and thanks for asking.I will be brief in my response because it would fill 2 pages if I told you everything.
We went on a long motoring/fishing/catching up with relatives holiday to a place called Lakes Entrance in the state of Victoria where I caught Australian Salmon in the surf and Bream in the Tambo river. After 10 days we travelled from there to Albury in the state of New South Wales and I fished the settling pond below the Dartmouth hydro-electric project for rainbow and brown trout with my 2 cousins whom I grew up with in India. We also caught up with an uncle and aunt, my grand aunt as well, who turns 90 in a few months and also my wifes' sister who lives in Melbourne. We travelled over the Snowy Mountains which was quite an experience because the road was unsealed and very windy over 40 k's. Also had snow on this sectiun of the road and that was 'scary' Keyur!! In all we had a great time and I would post some pics of our trip except I don't know how!Sorry! We travelled a total of 3750 kilometres in all and it has taken the 'bo-ti' out of me----hence, I have only been reading but not writing any posts!
Keep up the good work gentlemen and if ever you are in Brisbane, oz please send me a pm and I will meet you at the airport.Or ring me on 0738901698!

Post subject:  Warm welcome

Dear Beemorein and Owen,
Thank you for your warm welcome back. Owen, I will send you the pics, but I don't have many. Actually, one of a scaled and gutted bream and the other of a fried Salmon trout in aplate ready for some bread and butter!!And I am not smiling in the bream shot as it was too cold to smile! And as this is something which goes against the grain of a funloving man, and mineand others too, I wonder should I post it?!!! I will after all that!!
Bobbee, I hope I can take you up on that meaningful and genuine invitation to go fishing with you in Dec/Jan on the cauvery river. Iwill certainly make an attempt to come and promise to do my best. But in spirit, I am already over there catching those BIG ones!! Big Murral I hope or the mighty Masheer!! Actually will settle for the Karnatic Carp as I use to catch these when I was in Putnam as a young bloke, in the Battery River at the back of Pallavaram. We used a light float, tiny hook and borrowed bait of idly paste scented and coloured with tumeric and caught small 4inche long fish!! Good days!
until the next time !
